Your Circle of Control

Welcome to the 4th edition of my Newsletter. Although maybe I should stop counting now as apparently in some languages, they lack specific words for any numbers after 3...any more than 3 is just described as lots....

Your Circle of Control

As a breast cancer survivor I have annual mammograms and my 2024 one was in July. While I was sitting there waiting to go in it suddenly dawned on me that the results of this had the potential to change my life and I started to feel a bit overwhelmed. I had no control over what the result would be and this scared me. I felt quite emotional and started to imagine the worst. At that moment in time I could quite easily have spiraled down a rabbit hole of what ifs.I am a positive person and have really invested in my personal growth so I was able to recognise the signs and stop myself by thinking.....What can I control?I can't control the results but I can control the actions to put my mind at rest so I asked to see a breast care nurse whilst I was there and she examined me

She was very reassuring about her findings and I felt instantly better (since then I have also had the results back and I am pleased to tell you it was all clear 😊).

What do you do when a stressful situation overwhelms you ? Have a look at my top tips to see which colour energy stress triggers you identify with most and then look at the 3 key actions you can take, as we are all different and have different preferences as to how we alleviate stress.

So, what have I been up to in July?

In the same month that researchers learn Hippos can fly - or at least become airborne - when a UK study of their footfall patterns showed them trotting at such speed their feet all left the ground, and we had the hottest day on Earth with an average global temperature of 17.15 °C (62.87 °F)

I have been very busy.

July started for me with a tour around the Cheshire Military Museum courtesy of the Chamber of Commerce and contributing to a collaborative article - Here's How You Can Foster Mutual Understanding and Success in Your Communication with Your Boss - you can see my contribution and read the full article here

I was also quoted in a newsletter for 'Introverted Women' after commenting on the author's post with my thoughts - you can read the quote and full article here

I had a mini shoot with the lovely Maira Sheik to update my brand photos following a change in hair colour. Photo included is from said shoot.

Events I attended this month, included

Sales Club run by Aaron Sussex - North Wales and Chester Sales Geek, lunch at Boughton Hall Cricket Club  - Thank you West Cheshire and Chester Chamber of Commerce

I designed and delivered a bespoke introduction to Insights Discovery™️ workshop for one of my lovely clients.

And continued my work with the University of Manchester Innovation Factory

This month we have been looking at skills gap matrices and power skills for 2030.

Busy...busy

Oh and I also went out for lunch for the wonderful Zena Barrick's birthday.
